4 Days Trekking to Simien Mountain National Park
This extensive trek explores in depth one of Africans largest mountain ranges, studded with at least a dozen peaks over the 4,000m mark. These include Ras Dejen the highest point in Ethiopia, and the 4th highest peak in Africa. The area was designated a national park in 1966, and the entire range a UNESCO world heritage site in 1978. Trek through the Simien Mountains, following an extensive network of trails. The quality of these trails, along with the fantastic scenery, unique flora, diverse wildlife and rich bird life make this a rewarding and challenging trek. DAY 1: GONDAR - DEBARK - SANKABER Your first Ethiopian Trekking adventure begins today! You will drive to DEBARK (3000m, 2 hours, entrance of Simien National Park), where the formalities and permits for visiting the famous SIMIEN MOUNTAINS will be gathered. You will also meet your personal cook and the mandatory scouts. It follows a drive on a rough road to Sankaber (3200m, 1 hour), where you do the first short hike (2 -3 hours). The first impressive views over the dramatic mountains range will amaze you. DAY 2: SANKABER - GEECH At Sankaber we will pack up our gear and meet our mule men before commencing the trek. You hike to Geech in 5 - 6 hours (3600m, 13 km), will see lots of Gelada Baboons, Klippspringer and bush buck on the way, we will traverse along the escarpment before dropping down to get impressive views. On that day you will also pass Genbar Falls. DAY 3: GEECH – CHENEK- GONDAR From here you trek back to Chenek and after a lunch you drive to Gondar.

Simien Mountains National Park – 7 Day Trek
This seven day hike, is tailored towards serious hikers, and will take you across a large part of the Simien Mountains National Park. The starting and finishing point for the tour will be Gondar. The trek includes two half days of trekking and five full days. The elevation of the trek will rise and fall between 2000 – 4000 meters above sea level. Expect to see a variety of wildlife including Gelada monkey, Walia Ibex and a variety of bird life. If you’re lucky you may also see the simien fox as well as leopards.

6 Days Trekking Simien Mountains Ras Dashen
The entire Simien range is characterized by exceptional scenery. As you advance further into the park, the altitude increases and the viewpoints become increasingly spectacular. The first major viewpoint you’ll encounter is Imet Gogo, sitting at 3,926m between the Gich and Chennek campsites. As you continue your journey, you’ll find Mount Bwahit at 4,430m, and for the adventurous, Ras Dashen towers just east of Mount Bwahit at a staggering 4,550m, making it Ethiopia’s highest peak and the tenth highest peak in Africa.
