It is not known precisely when Petra was built, but the city began to prosper as the capital of the Nabataean Empire from the 1st century BC, which grew rich through trade in frankincense, myrrh, and spices. Petra was later annexed to the Roman Empire and continued to thrive until a large earthquake in 363 AD destroyed much of the city in the 4th century AD.

Wadi Rum Full Day Jeep Tour + Overnight + Dinner in Bedouin Camp
Immerse yourself in the captivating beauty of Wadi Rum with our jeep tour that comes with an overnight stay. Our tour covers ten popular sites within the protected area, where we will use a jeep to travel between stops. You will have plenty of time to explore, hike, climb, scramble, and marvel at the breathtaking surroundings. Our tour also includes a 30-45 minute hike through a canyon and a traditional Bedouin lunch. We will catch the sunset in Um Sabatah before retiring for the night at our camp or ‘cave’. Full-Day Jeep Tour: "Wadi Rum Highlights" and Night Under the Stars
Take an 8-hour long Tour in our 4x4, experiencing the "Highlights" of the Wadi Rum Protected Area. Have the opportunity to try Sand-Boarding in the sand dunes of the Wadi Rum desert for free! Our starting point is the Wadi Rum Rest House in the Wadi Rum Village which is located 7 km from the Visitor Center. From there we will start an amazing adventure exploring hidden canyons, weirdly shaped rocks and ancient sites. You will have the chance to enjoy our traditional Bedouin lunch and watch the well-known sunset of the desert. Check all the place we are going to visit on the itinerary within the tour details. For those that want to experience more and spend the night as a true Bedouin we offer the option "Traditional Overnight Stay" You will have dinner and sleep in our traditional Bedouin Cave or Camp. The next day, after Breakfast, we will drop you off back to the Rest House. Make this experience even more unique by adding a Camel Ride for only 20JD/person.
