JEEP Bison Safari - Public - Half Day Tour
Black Hills Open-Top-Tours is the only tour company offering Jeep Bison Safari Tours to "all" of Custer State Park. Not a short buffalo only tour like the others... our Safari Tours are 6 hours long to all major park attractions. This tour goes to Mt. Coolidge Lookout (6,020 ft), Iron Mountain Road (pigtail bridges/one-way tunnels), Needles Highway (Eye of Needle Tunnel), Sylvan Lake (short walk), Stockade Lakes (picnic) & Custer State Park Wildlife Loop (bison, burros and much more). Tour includes: fees, bottled water, snacks. You may bring your own food and beverage. Our modified Jeeps are comfortable and safe Safari vehicles. They seat from minimum of 2 guests to a maximum of 14 (for Group Tours). They offer great elevated views and photo ops without needing to exit the Jeep. They offer rear heat for cool mornings & cool water misters for summer. And like all of our tours, they offer South Dakota's famous Sunshine & Fresh Air . . . 'Nature's Original Sanitizer'.

There’s nothing “bad” about touring the Badlands with a guide who’ll drive you to the national park, teach you the history of the area, and make sure you don’t miss any of the best spots for photos. The tour is a highly curated route that takes you to places you’d otherwise miss. From scenic overlooks to the famous Wall Drug Store, and even to the Minuteman Missile National Historic Site, where you’ll get to experience ‘duck and cover drills,’ it’s good fun in the Badlands. We tour in Comfort and Style. Ford Transit full size mid height touring van - 14 passenger has been converted to seat just 8 . . . and it has huge side windows for viewing. Private Badlands National Park Day Tour
Experience another world in Badlands National Park. Wildlife and fossil spotting is a favorite as we weave our way through the spires and pinnacles of the park. We make many stops, and can incorporate a hike if you wish! Lunch in the park with spectacular views will be a highlight. Badlands Sunset, Stars and Silhouettes Tour
This is our favorite tour! You never know what you're going to see. An array of animals come out to frolic and pose for beautiful photos during the golden hour. You'll be taken to special locations where animals congregate during the setting sun. As you enjoy the wildlife of the Badlands, we'll set up with folding chairs, drinks and snacks at a perfect location to watch the sunset. The "Blue Hour" begins after sunset and continues for an hour, highlighting the wild formations with the bright blue and orange sky. Next, we'll take you to the night viewing area in the park at a location only My XO Adventures knows. We provide you with blankets, comfortable mats, and pillows to see as much of the sky as possible. Laying on the cozy 2 inch mats, we'll see planets, shooting stars, and the Milky Way Galaxy. Our guide will take night photos and share them with you at the end of the tour.
