Tour to Hierve el A, Teotitlán del Valle, Mezcal and Arbol del Tule
On our tour you will have enough time to enjoy 4 of the must-see attractions in Oaxaca, we do not do quantity, we do quality. As your first stop, you will visit a traditional rug workshop in Teotitlán del Valle. Access to this facility is by invitation only. Here you can learn about the dyeing and weaving process to make a beautiful rug. Our second destination is the incredible Hierve el Agua, here you can enjoy Oaxacan nature, petrified waterfalls, natural pools and optional hiking. The third spot is a beautiful Mezcal distillery where you will not only learn about the mezcal process, you will also be able to try different types of mezcal and observe interesting species of maguey. You will be able to understand everything that happens in the markets and clarify your doubts while you explore the flavors and smells of Oaxacan cuisine from the most traditional places.
Traditional Oaxacan Cooking Class (includes transportation)
With the help of a traditional cook, you will discover the unique flavors of traditional Oaxacan cuisine, while learning about our traditions and culture. In this class you will make delicious memelitas with your own hands, from preparing the dough to making a delicious molcajete sauce to accompany them. I will teach you recipes that you can easily repeat at home. We will cook in a traditional smoke kitchen, with utensils that have been used for generations in my family, you will discover our traditions and I will give you advice that will help you better understand and taste the dishes of Oaxacan cuisine. When we prepare the mole, I will teach you how to select the best ingredients that have given Oaxacan mole worldwide fame and recognition.
