Skywalk 4x4 Experience and Rabacal 25 Fountains Levada Walk
Rabaçal is an unique and magical place full of waterfalls and fountains. This levada walk is the most famous and beautiful in Madeira. This experience will start with about 3 hours walk including 800 mts through a volcanic rock tunnel leading us to an evergreen forest providing beautiful landscapes. On this hike, we will have the opportunity to admire beautiful waterfalls, natural spring water and its endemic species of fauna and flora. After this great walk, we will have a lunch break (not included) in a Madeiran restaurant at Paúl da Serra, the biggest plateau of the island about 1400 mts high with stunning views. Later, we go downhill through a fantastic off-road expedition, where you will enjoy the fragrance of the exotic eucalyptus forest. Continuing, we go to Cabo Girão with the highest sea cliff of Europe at 580 mts, known by its suspended glass floor viewpoint which offers a spectacular panoramic view over the Atlantic Ocean and Câmara de Lobos Bay. Rabaçal 25 Fontes Levada Walk in Small Groups
The Rabaçal 25 Fontes walk is very beautiful for its diversity of plants and green vegetation that we can see, also the famous Levadas of the Madeira Island. Levadas are water channels, and this is one of the most famous of the whole island, because the landscapes and unforgettable sensations will stay in the thoughts of those who do this levada. Starting from Rabaçal, you will find an immense variety of species of flora and fauna madeirenses. The walk through the middle of the Laurissilva forest, through the irrigation canals that reach the lagoon from the 25 Fontes, it is the most beautiful point of the whole walk, with a large waterfall falling into a small lagoon. Nuns Valley/Monte with sledge ride.
Isolated from the rest of the island, lies the Nuns Valley, a caldron surrounded by lava rock a perfect contrast. Leaving Hotel drive through Funchal to Pico dos Barcelos one of Madeiras unique viewpoints. We then make our way up to Eira do Serrado At 1094m above sea level, (if weather permits) you will be able to see the view to the Nuns Valley. Stop at the private family bakery with cake, biscuit and liquor tasting, last stop is at Monte one of Madeira´s old touristic stops with a visit to the church, and a little adventure, you can try the toboggan rides which is included in this tour for those who pay 35€, The price of 20€ is without sleigh ride included. PLEASE NOTE THE SLEIGH RIDE FOR ONLY A SINGULAR PERSON HAS AN ADDITIONAL COST OF 10€. Seeing the sleigh ride is 25€ and not 15€.
Full Day East of Madeira Tour
Start this tour towards Pico do Arieiro, the highest mountain accessible by car and the third highest on the island (1818m). Here you will be amazed by the fantastic views over the mountains and the island. Descent towards Ribeiro Frio, located in the Laurissilva forest, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where nature lives in perfect harmony. Continuing along the north coast, pass through Faial and arrive at Santana, a village known for its typical and original thatched roof houses. After lunch, admire Ponta de São Lourenço, with several rock formations and impressive views. Arrive in Machico, a historic town where the discoverers first landed in 1419. Return to the Hotel.
