Lake Mývatn and Goðafoss Shared Shore Excursions
Hop on a small group tour with a personal service that takes you along the route of Goðafoss waterfall, Lake Mývatn, Dimmuborgir Lavafield, Námafjall geothermal, Psudocraters and the Grjótagjá Cave. If we have time, depending on cruise ships departure time, we visit the Mývatn Naturebaths, where you will get an opportunity to dip into the geothermal water (note that the entry fee, a bathing suit and a towel is not included) or enjoy some refreshments at the inhouse café with a scenic view.

Goðafoss Express Big Bus Shore Excursion
An easy and short tour to Goðafoss, also known as the water of the gods. It played a role in the christening of Iceland. We will drive to the waterfall, spend some time there, and then head back to Akureyri. We will be going through a tunnel opened in 2018 where various challenges had to be tackled to finish it. We will pass through the Fnjóskadalur valley, which has Iceland's second largest forest in it as well as having been a glacier lagoon back in the ice age. We will pass the lake Ljósavatn on the way and hear a little about why the Goðafoss waterfall got its name.
Full day Lake Myvatn Classic tour
Our guides are fully qualified and have extensive knowledge of the Lake Myvatn area. Not only will you learn about the history, landscape and present day life, on this tour you will also hear about Icelandic folktales, humor and culture. This is a total 7 hour tour trough some of the most picturesque landscape in North Iceland. All travel time is included in that length. After about 35 minute drive from Akureyri we come the beautiful waterfall Goðafoss. We stop here for a good time for you to enjoy the scenery before we continue our drive to Lake Myvatn. After around 30 minute drive from the waterfall we come to Lake Myvatn itself and our first stop is at Skutustadir, Psuedo Craters. We then stay in the area for around 3 hours with many different stops during the day like at Dimmuborgir lava field, Grjotagja cave and Namaskard fumerols. At the end of the day we drive for an hour and 15 minutes back to Akureyri.
