The Ice Cave Tour is our easy option, as our trusted super jeeps take us very close to the ice cave, meaning minimal walking. This trip suits most people and is perfect if you have a packed schedule or if you are worried about arctic winter weather. The super jeep journey to reach the cave is an adventure on its own. Once we reach our destination you will have time to experience a beautiful blue Ice Cave!

An extra-small group tour to the Sapphire ice cave located on Vatnajökull, Europe's largest glacier. This tour is operated by a small, local company.
You'll meet your licensed guide at Jökulsárlón. From there it's an approximately 30 minute drive in a 4x4 truck to the glacier parking. It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the edge of the glacier where the Sapphire cave is located. We usually spend around 30-45 minutes in the cave, taking plenty of photos and exploring the various formations in the cave.

Hvannadalshnúkur is a magnificent place, this expedition takes you to the highest peak in Iceland and on the biggest glacier in Europe. Hiking up to the peak is not a technical climb but it requires good stamina.

We’ll meet up the day before the hike to make sure you know what the summit day is going to be like. Our guides will also go over how the glacier gear works. We also want to know your experience in mountains to set the starting time right. If you are beginner we start earlier so we can do this on a nice pace, but if you are a good hiker and used to mountaineering we can start later in the morning, the main purpose is to be on the summit around 13:00 a clock (1pm).

We will pick you up from the port in Djúpivogur. Then, we will head to Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon. Jökulsárlón is a large glacial lake on the edge of Vatnajökull National Park. Floating on the lagoon are enormous icebergs, moving with the waves towards the river mouth. The white and blue icebergs give off a calming crackling sound as they float around in the lagoon. You will have plenty of time to take in the views from shore. Add some sparkles to your day at the Diamond Black Sand Beach. As the day comes to an end, we will drop you off at the port in Djúpivogur.

We cannot wait to take you on the Private Glacier Ice Cave adventure! Your guide will drive you to Vatnajokull Glacier via a super jeep to begin your adventure. After a hike through an alien-like glacial tundra, we will arrive at the edge of the glacier where your guide will assist you in putting your crampons on. Geared up, we will explore both the lower and upper ice caves where your photographer will capture you inside these natural wonders. 

Once through the lower cave, which is named Sapphire Ice Cave, we will gear up for our hike on the glacier. With crampons on, we will hike to many different formations on the glacier including our famous crystal crevasses. The visuals you will see all around you will create an unimaginable experience as your photographer captures you amongst it.
