Cascada el Limón from El Portillo
On board the comfortable safari truck, we head to the “Rancho Limón” where we will enjoy a delicious coffee, roasted and prepared in a traditional style. Afterwards, we set off on a fantastic and unforgettable horse or mule ride along a steep, stony mud path, past rivers and mountains and through a dense and humid tropical forest. Salto del Limón, located in a protected area, is a 40 m (approx.) waterfall that culminates in a pool of crystal clear water. We will enjoy a refreshing dip in the water at the foot of the waterfall. The scenery around Limón is beautiful with small wooden houses painted in bright colours. Note: Not suitable for people with reduced mobility. Not advisable for pregnant women.

We’ll discover the main historical sites of Santo Domingo, a city founded in 1498 by the Spanish on their arrival in America. We’ll visit places such as Santa María la Menor (Primate Cathedral), the National Pantheon and the Alcázar de Colón, home of the first Governor of Santo Domingo Diego Columbus, and Las Casas Reales Museum, all found in the colonial district. We’ll shop at the Colonial Market, where the history of the New World began. Lunch will be at a restaurant in the prestigious Colonial District with its exquisite décor so typical of the region. Then we’ll visit the capital’s main government buildings. We can enjoy the experience of visiting the capital of the Dominican Republic with its historic Colonial City. Cascada Limón From Samaná
To start this exotic trip, we’ll head to the north-eastern part of the island, to the Cañitas dock in the city of Miches. There we’ll board a speedboat to cross the stunning Samaná bay to one of the most spectacular national parks in the Dominican Republic, “Los Haitises National Park”, and the largest mangrove forest in the Caribbean. There we’ll discover the caves, keys and all the secrets that the Taínos, Europeans and pirates have hidden throughout history. After this marvellous visit we’ll get back on board to head towards the paradise island of Cayo Levantado, also known as Bacardi Island, where you’ll enjoy a tasty lunch. You can also enjoy a swim at one of the world’s most beautiful beaches and take in its magical crystal-clear waters, which have been used as a backdrop for many advertisements and films, and which will now be part of your most unforgettable memories.
