Plymouth half day private tour from Boston, groups 1-4
If you've always wanted to see Plymouth Rock, this 4 hour tour lets you check it off the bucket list. It can fit snuggly into a Boston city break without using up too much of your time in the city. We pick up in downtown Boston and travel 50 minutes directly to Plymouth. There we'll do a walking tour around the town, explaining why the Pilgrims landed here and what they did to settle in the area. Stop at the rock itself and then give you time to board the Mayflower II to see for yourself how awful their journey must have been. Quick stop at an impressive monument, built to honor the Pilgrims and then it's back to Boston. Boston is 50 minutes drive from Plymouth, so you will be in the car a chunk of time on this tour. Salem Private Half Day Tour from Boston, groups 5-6
If you've always wanted to visit this infamous town, then let's do it during your visit to Boston. This half day tour has a Downtown Boston pick up. It's a 45 minute drive to Salem, when we'll tell some of the quirky stories about the town. In Salem we do a walking tour around the sites connected to the Witch trials era. Stories of what happened before, during and after the trials and some of the lesser know sites and movie scenes of the town. There's time to go into one of the main attractions if you'd like. Admission can't be guaranteed. If you'd prefer to see more of Salem, skip the attraction and let us take you into the historic and architecturally famous Chestnut St area. And the bonus is we then have time for a more scenic drive through Marblehead and back to Boston. The return journey and tour is 4 hours, we'll customize it to the things you're most interested in. So your menu will vary depending on the season, but a few dishes that you can expect to try are pesto pizza (typical toppings include spinach, potatoes and mushrooms), salad or homemade cornbread, mushroom stroganoff and chili sin carne or glazed tofu.
