This trip leads us to the stunningly beautiful Ötschergräben, also called the “Grand Canyon of Austria”. The water of the river dazzles and sparkles in all shades of green and the mountain scenery is just breathtaking. Not to mention the many waterfalls along the way. The best: it is possible to plunge into the river! The Ötschergräben are a system of gorges, located in Lower Austria on the border with Styria. The Ötscher mountain is 1.893 meters high and also known as "Vaterberg" by locals, which means father mountain.  Highlights of this tour: • Spectacular alpine landscape • Crystal clear river with possibility to take a bath • Many waterfalls along the trail • Rare and protected alpine wild flowers • Alpine feeling on only 2000 feet above sea level • Adventurous alpine climb Find plenty of reviews here: daslebenspueren.at/reviews/ Price includes 23 % commission for Viator.
