Nostalgic Bike and Bite tour will take you to the island most nostalgic area, Katong & Joo Chiat. Declared as Singapore’s first Heritage Town in 2011. This East Coast enclave still holds timeless treasures and insight into the rich Peranakan cultural heritage. The area’s identity is especially shaped by its unique pre-war architecture – colorful two-stories shophouses and terrace houses with ornate facades, intricate motifs and ceramic tiles. As well as one of the country’s best foodie destinations well-loved by many Singaporeans. We will be biking from food stall to food stall have small bite of different ethnics foods during the tour. Visit wet markets and hawker centres, the origins of our local coffee, belachan, roti prata and how some things came to be. Learn about eating customs of the Chinese, Malays and Indians. Visit family-run shop/factory to get a behind-the-scenes of the local food industry. And a hands on popiah rolling cum lunch session where each guests will hand roll yummy popiahs and fill little kueh pie tees. We end off sampling one of Singaporean's beloved desserts - putu piring.

Next, we chart out the beautiful love story of Mr. and Mrs. Lee, how they met and how their relationship blossomed. We share episodes and uncover gems about the mutual love, admiration and respect they had for one another.

We also visit Oxley Road, the Lees residence for 50 years. A visit to their humble home cannot go without mentioning his simple ways and lifestyle. Next is Tanjong Pagar, the constituency Mr. Lee choose as his home base for nearly 60 years.

And to our final stop, we end off in front of the steps at the National Gallery Singapore in front of the Padang.

This food tour is different from our Lion City Bike Tour. SG Food & Bike Tour - Katong, will take you off the beaten tourist path, or the usual "Hawker center" food tour. Instead, to explore the island finest local delicacies district "Katong" Leisurely cycle between mouth-watering food stops. And photo ops with colorful two-stories shophouses with ornate facades, intricate motifs and ceramic tiles. During the food tour you will get to eat at least 8 different Local Authentic Delicacies. Eg: the famous Putu Piring, Katong Laksa, Bak Chang, Hainanese Chicken Rice and the World Best Curry Puff. Along the way we will share with you about Singapore food culture and development over the years. You will also learn about an unique group of people known as “Peranakan” – a dominant local group in Katong. Toward the end, we will ride along our beautiful East Coast Beach, before heading back.
