Hôtel de la Marine at Place de la Concorde
First of all, the Hôtel de la Marine is a must. After 3 years of refurbishment, this emblematic Parisian monument, located on the Place de la Concorde is finally reopened. While the building is impressive enough in itself, we advise you to extend your visit to the two restaurants. Michelin star chef Jean-François Piège has devised the menu for the restaurant that flanks the main courtyard, while the Café Lapérouse, located to the south of the courtyard, will offer a lighter menu for every moment of the day.

The Hôtel de la Marine is part of the Parcours de la Gastronomie en Île-de-France project, which promotes art de vivre and French gastronomy. The Parcours de la Gastronomie is a concept that aims to promote French gastronomy and the know-how of the Paris region’s producers, restaurateurs and craftsmen that make up the local food industry. The sites that form the Parcours de la Gastronomie are approved by a jury of 15 qualified specialists. Evolving itineraries will therefore be suggested over the course of the seasons to reflect new trends, new openings across the Paris region, the requirements of visitors and how well these sites combine with one another.

If you want to eat outside, head to La Petite Venise. Out on the terrace, you can enjoy views across the Grand Canal one way and the Bassin d’Apollon the other. If you are more drawn to contemporary art or the hustle and bustle of the city, we recommend lunch at the Halle aux Grains and the restaurant at the Bourse de Commerce – Fondation Pinault, the new cultural institution in the heart of Paris. They can enjoy an exclusive view of Les Halles and the Pompidou Centre. Beyond the restaurants, you can continue your gastronomic adventures by participating in workshops tailored for families or corporate groups. This is an experience they can combine with a shopping trip. In fact, cookery lessons are available at Maison Ferrandi, the prestigious school of gastronomy based at Galeries Lafayette Maison & Gourmet, an establishment dedicated to the arts of the table and French art de vivre.
