This food and culture walk is a tasty and educational 3 hour tour in the heart of Bergen city center. The tour starts at Bontelabo 2 with a selction of tradisional tastes and the history behind them. Your local guide will bring you to several local hidden gems, as well as interesting stops and some of our most popular attractions. Along the way there will be tastes of local and traditional food and drinks, it can be aquivilent to a small luch. Remember to dress acording to the weather!
Walking Tour in Bergen of the Past and Present
This tour is organised by I Love Bergen, a locally owned and operated company. Our tours focus not just on the history and highlights of Bergen, but also the off-the-beaten path hidden alleys and stories of everyday life. The first half of our tour focuses on the history of Bergen. We wander the fortress complex, covering Bergen’s medieval history and short period as the capital of Norway. After this crash course in Norwegian history, we make our way to Bryggen – Bergen’s UNESCO Site. Here you learn about 1,000 years of trade history and the reason for Bergen’s founding and growth. The second half of our tour is about life in Bergen. We leave the ‘touristy’ part behind and wander into the neighbourhood surrounding Bryggen. As you explore Bergen’s best kept secret, you’ll learn about everyday life. The tour ends by passing by our favourite cafes, restaurants, with recommendations for things to do. Our group sizes are limited so you can ask questions!
Guided hike to Pulpit Rock Preikestolen
This trip will take you on one of Norway’s most popular and spectacular hikes. It is for good reason that this hike has gained its popularity with visitors to Norway and locals alike. Situated only a few hours from Stavanger, Pulpit Rock - or Preikestolen in Norwegian - is a towering cliff-plateau directly suspended over Lysefjorden. To stand (or sit) so close to the edge is probably the moment that hikers look forward to the most, although it is no easy deed. The top offers unobstructed views over the meandering blue fjord that was formed by the glaciers during the last Ice Age, making it a good spot to enjoy a photo session and possibly a light snack.

This new tour in 2024 takes you to the Hardangerfjord, the third longest fjord in the world, and one of the most beautiful regions in this wonderful country. On this tour, you will discover breathtaking landscapes at a leisurely and relaxed pace. We start after breakfast and bring you back to your hotel in time for dinner. You will learn a lot about the country and its people. We take our lunch break at Øystese. Here you have the opportunity to visit a cider farm from where you have a wonderful view of the fjord. The route takes us through the small town of Odda, which lies at the far end of the Hardangerfjord. norwegian waffles and coffee await us here in a very cozy bistro, right on the fjord. We then drive through the 11 km long Folgefonn Tunnel. Our ferry leaves Jondal at 18:20, the crossing takes about 20 minutes. The return journey to your hotel then only takes 1.5 hours.
