A Day at the Asa Wright Nature Center
Do you love nature? Interested in eco-tourism? Spend a day at the Asa Wright Nature Centre on this 1,500 acres of protected, forested land at this world class natural habitat. Take a two-hour guided tour through the well maintained nature trails and have your cameras ready on the chance that you are greeted by some of the 108 species of mammals, 450 species of birds, 55 species of reptiles, 25 species of amphibians and 617 species of butterflies. If hiking is not for you, relax on the center's large veranda and enjoy the variety of birds that are not afraid to get up close and personal with visitors to their home in the nature.
Trinidad Rainforest Hike to Waterfall
A two hour drive along the scenic North Coast past the villages of Maracas & Blanchisseuse will bring us to the starting point of the hike: a tiny village in the remote rainforest. This hike is easy and takes approximately 45 minutes one way. You hike along and inside a shallow river to the most amazing waterfall of approximately 65 ft, with a large plunge pool for bathing. After some relaxing time on the big rocks or a refreshing bath - with a nice head-massage from the falls - you then return to the base. Basic changing facilities are provided. You are then taken to the popular Maracas Beach for a delicious "Bake & Fish" sandwich (not included in cost) and another swim (optional).
Live Steel Drums & Street Food Experience!
Experience LIVE music in Port of Spain by night! From 8.30pm we will tour you through the energetic capital of Trinidad to various “steel pan yards” where the local steel-bands practice. Trinidad is the birthplace of the versatile "steel-drum" and we hear Soca, Calypso and sometimes even some Classical music - the steel-bands are everywhere! Listen to the pulsating rhythms of "Phase 2 Pan Groove" and others in their authentic neighborhoods - and of course taste some delicious street food as well. Let's check out the busy night strips (optional), we will give excellent insider tips. After the tour you can choose to stay and "lime" (hang out) or we drop you back to your hotel by 10.30pm. Hotel pickup and drop-off is included.

Half-day 3-Course Cocoa Lunch Tour in Trinidad
This lunch tour in Trinidad, a world-famous source of premium cacao, features a 3-course meal using locally grown cacao in a restaurant deep in the mountains where hummingbirds play. Yerette Home of the Hummingbird and Caroni Wildlife Tour
Hummingbird enthusiasts will be in awe at this hidden gem in the Maracas Valley. The home of a local couple has been transformed into a magnificent nature sanctuary for these mystifying birds. The haven is named appropriately as Yerette is the Amerindian word for hummingbird. Against the background of the silk cotton trees, orchids, ferns and shrubs, you will have the opportunity to have a close up experience. Enjoy a tea or meal on the grounds as you watch the dance of the birds. The couple’s photography and art gallery has an abundant collection of their works. We then take you on an amazing trip into the Caroni Swamp. Going through a maze of waterways in a mangrove swamp considered to be the best in the Western Hemisphere, you can get the opportunity to experience species of mammals, reptiles crustacean life, and unique mangrove vegetation and many of the 186 species of bird wildlife present in the Sanctuary. Rio Seco Waterfall
• Rio Seco Waterfall is among Trinidad’s most stunning waterfalls. While, by far not the tallest, Waterfall this place mostly for its wide deep basin filled with emerald green water. The waterfall’s face, which slopes backward, makes for an easy climb to its top, and its deep plunge pool encourages visitors to jump and dive in. • Another appealing aspect of Rio Seco is that the hike to the waterfall is a relatively easy one, which takes visitors along a wide generally clear path that is marked better that most other waterfall trails. Best of all the hike is just 1 hour walk. All this makes the waterfall a favorable for visitors, family and friends.
