Great Silk Road in Tajikistan: Eastern, 7 days
There are three branches of the Great Silk Road along Tajikistan: 1) North / Sogdian stretches between Samarkand (Uzbekistan) and Kashgar (China); 2) West–East / Karotegin stretches between Termez (Uzbekistan) and Kashgar (China); 3) South / Pamir stretches between Termez (Uzbekistan) and Tashkent (China). These ancient routes were formed by the Persian, Greek, Chinese and Arab peoples, who made a huge contribution to the socio–economic relations — trade and culture of the whole world between the V – XII centuries. One-Day Trekking to Gusgarf Waterfall
Not far from the city of Dushanbe, in the right gorge of the Varzob River, falls Gusgarf waterfall, the most beautiful in the Hissar Range. A stormy river has cut through a vertical rocky wall for many centuries and falls from a 30-meter height. A multi-ton mass of water crumbles below into myriads of drops, iridescent and sparkling in the sun. The hiking mountain trail (ascent) to the waterfall starts 21 kilometers from the Varzob Gorge, from here it takes 2-3 hours to walk to the waterfall (about 8 km). Thrill-seekers can test themselves in unusual water procedures. This is a rather deep round bath filled with ice water, the smallest mist from a waterfall, and a powerful jet that can knock you off your feet. A visit to the waterfall is available from April to September. The ascent to the waterfall is quite steep, but quite accessible and affordable for people in average physical condition. In early spring, nature simply amazes with its beauty, lush grass, and flowering trees.
Chiluchorchashma: Legendary Spring, One-day tour
CHILUCHORCHASHMA The name of this place translates as "Forty-four springs". Every resident of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan knows about it. Here, near the hill, in the very center of the sunny desert, several wide springs burst out of the ground, spreading into 39 smaller ones. All the springs, connecting into one, form a small river, the width of which is 12-13 meters. There are a lot of fish here. There is a legend that Caliph Ali, noticing a dried-upriver called Romit, drove to Chiluchorchashma and began to pray to Allah that he would give at least a little water. At this time, he hit the ground near the hill, and in the place where his hand touched the soil, several transparent springs appeared. Chiluchorchashma is visited annually by many tourists and pilgrims. People pray, perform ablutions, plunge into springs, make sacrifices. There is an opinion that the water in these springs can heal from diseases.

The Fann Mountains nine peaks exceeding 5,000 m above sea level. The highest point of the region is Chimtarga Peak (5,489 m). Other 5,000-metre mountains are Big Hansa (5,306 m), Bodkhona (5,138), Mirali (5,132), Chapdara (5,050), Energia (5,120), Zamok (‘Castle’) (5,070), Little Hansa (5,031) and Moscow (5,046).
