An early evening’s hike close to the park’s entrance leads to a riverside BBQ (including fresh river shrimp, which you’ll catch yourself). We’ll take the next day to explore the gorge more fully by road and foot, visiting some of the shrines, temples, caves and waterfalls that make this most dramatic landscape even more magical. We’ll take our time hiking along breathtaking trails and dipping our feet in the river before heading back up the coast and returning to Taipei.
