Daintree River 'Dawn' Cruise with the Daintree Boatman
Start your day with a cruise on the mighty Daintree river. This 2 hour cruise takes you on journey of discovery exploring the main river and its tributaries in search of iconic wildlife including highly sought-after birds (kingfishers, herons, egrets, frogmouth amongst others) as well as crocodiles & snakes. The dawn cruise showcases the river at is most picturesque and serene as the boat travels along the smooth waters of the Daintree river. Cruises cater for a maximum of just 10 passengers and are customised to the interests of the passengers. The boat used is a unique ‘hybrid’ vessel utilising both a regular outboard and an incredible electric motor which creates less disturbance enabling outstanding views of wildlife. Cruises start and finish at the public boat ramp in Daintree Village. Daintree Village is 45 mins from Port Douglas and located on the south-side of the Daintree River.

Southern Daintree Tour including Paddock to Plate Lunch
This is an unforgettable experience that will leave you with a newfound appreciation for the beauty and diversity of the World Heritage Listed Daintree Rainforest. After your knowledgable and friendly guide picks you up from your Port Douglas accommodation, we start the day at Mossman Gorge (Daintree Rainforest) with a traditional Welcome to Country conducted by the local traditional Kuku Yalanji people, a guided rainforest walk and a refreshing rainforest swim. We then travel to the Daintree River Wildlife Cruise where we can spot snakes, beautiful birds, and saltwater crocodiles. Followed by a paddock the plate lunch at the Daintree Saltwater Barramundi Farm. We then visit a private property in the Daintree Rainforest for a short guided walk and optional refreshing dip underneath a waterfall. Indulge in freshly picked fruit from the Organic Tropical Fruit Farm, before the drive back to your Port Douglas accommodation.

Ngana Julaymba Dungay: We All Going Daintree Spend the morning or afternoon with a local Aboriginal tour guide, learning about culturally significant areas and the connection the Kuku Yalanji still have with their land. Learn the history, culture and traditions of the local Aboriginal people and the area. Guided walk through the rainforest and coastal habitats learning about the environment, different foods and medicines utilized from nature, sample some bush tucker, collect shellfish and try traditional Aboriginal hunting practices, have a go at spear throwing and if you are lucky, catch a mud crab. Complete the adventure by cooling off in a pristine freshwater stream.

Join an art class at Janbal Gallery with Aboriginal artist Brian ‘Binna’ Swindley where you will learn how their stories are shared through art, as well as paint your own canvas to take home. Learn about the ancient Aboriginal ‘highways’ that run through the region on the way to Mossman Gorge Cultural Centre; the gateway into the ancient Daintree rainforest of Mossman Gorge. Experience a traditional welcome to country smoking ceremony as you arrive before a delicious lunch. Book either the standard tour that includes an interpretive walk through the ancient rainforest with our Adventure North Aboriginal guide, or upgrade to the Ngadiku Dreamtime Walk with an Aboriginal guide from Mossman Gorge Centre.
