I am a 22 year resident of the Mojave Desert and log over 500 miles annually on foot within Joshua Tree National Park. Over the years and miles I've cultivated an awareness of landscape, ecological systems, and local culture that when contextualized by the trail becomes a narrative experience I'm eager to share. I landed in Joshua Tree after dropping out of college in 2001. Back then you arrived by chance or a friend of a friend said you had to check out the rocks, feel the energy, and camp under the stars. I fell in with the gathering characters, an assortment of dirtbag climbers, avant artists, practical new age visionaries, and entrepreneurs...an amalgam of identities that would go on to create the image of the High Desert that is so coveted today. I am legally permitted to guide within Joshua Tree National Park and happy to host you. I know my stuff and I want you to know it too.

Private 1-Hour Archery Experience around Joshua Tree National Park.
Beautiful and relaxing experience in a unique Joshua Tree setting. Beautiful mountain landscapes all around you as you shoot bows into targets on Coyote Dry Lake Bed in Joshua Tree, CA. We start you with a beginner bow and a bucket of beginner arrows and you choose the distance you want to shoot at. We show you proper form to aim the arrows and how to shoot the arrows. You are on your own time and you can shoot the arrows at your own pace and at any distance you like. The distance ranges from 20 feet away to 100 feet away from the targets. Once you feel comfortable you can choose to move up and down the field and try farther and closer distances to test your accuracy. Once you become more precise at hitting the targets and shooting the arrows you can upgrade to a more advanced bow with more advanced heavier arrows. It gets fun to test yourself and see if you can hit the targets at a further distance. Very fun sport to learn.

Earthquake Canyon Express Downhill Bicycle Adventure
A paved road, downhill bicycle tour through a Federally protected Wilderness zone along the San Andreas Fault. Riders will be treated to magnificent vistas of the wide open Colorado Desert, enter a tortured badlands canyon, then finish off with views of the Santa Rosa Mountains and ride through the agricultural fields of the Eastern Coachella Valley. Desert Nature Walk, Cacao Ceremony and Soundbath in Joshua Tree
We start this experience with a beautiful desert nature walk at one of the hidden gems inside the JT national park. The trail we visit offers a 1.4 mile loop, friendly for all age ranges/activity levels. Designed to activate the mind and body, the landscape offers the ideal space to discuss the local flora, fauna, geology, geography, as well as, the elemental energies and how they converge in Joshua Tree creating a natural energetic vortex. After our walk, we will exit the park and caravan roughly 10 mins to our second destination, an authentic Native American Medicine Wheel. Allowing time to relax the mind we start the session by establishing personal intentions with Cacao, followed by the charging powers of sound vibrations to further connect with our intentions. Using a variety of instruments/sound frequencies designed to heighten the meditative state. A safe space to fully immerse in the healing qualities of sound, therapeutic properties of nature and the abundance of the moment.
South Palm Springs Architecture, History and Bike Tour
This is a small group 2.5 to 3 hour bike tour of three architecturally & historically significant residential neighborhoods in South Palm Springs. Quiet streets, no hills, constant sunshine, & very little traffic make for a great ride for novices or expert cyclists alike. (This is not an athletic tour, fear not!) We'll explore the neighborhoods of Deepwell Estates, Twin Palms, & Indian Canyons, making frequent stops for photos & to learn details about specific homes and architects. NOTE: Bikes are not included. I work with a rental agency where our journey begins and ends. They do offer my guests a discount, and they have colorful cruiser bikes as well as electric pedal-assist bikes. [ I've designed this tour for serious architecture & history fans, with academic-level information & detail. So, it may not be the most enjoyable tour for some children. ]
