Thattekad Guided Bird Walk.
This tour program is ideal for people interested in birds and nature, visiting Thattekad. Guest may book for morning session or evening session. Our guides will meet the guests near Thattekad Bird sanctuary entrance at around 6.45 am for morning session or at 3.15 pm for evening session. If any one need pick up arrangements from near by resorts or towns, we can arrange that at extra cost. Birding will be provided in and round Thattekad Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary. Guest can visit Butterfly park also. Transport arrangements or cost should be provided by the guest if they want to do birding in locations other than the Salim Ali Trail. Trekking in Munnar
This trek will start at the height of approximately 1450 MASL with a walk through the tea plantations for about 30 to 40 minutes. On reaching the summit, the trek will continue for a couple of hours on the ridge through stunningly beautiful grasslands with rocky mountain slope on one side and the tea plantations on the other with interspersed patches of Shola forest. On a clear day, we can see Anaimudi “The highest peak in South India”. We will also pass through a private coffee and cardamom plantation in the Shola Forest where there is a high chance to spot few of our endemic birds. We will have refreshments/picnic lunch at a suitable place during the trek. Similar to the start, the trek will finish with a walk through a tea plantation to meet our cab waiting to transfer us back to the hotel or to visit other destinations as per the program. Highest point of this trek will be about 1950 meters MASL approx.

This is a village life experience guided tour which is explored for about 2 to 3 hours by walking. The tour begins from Old Munnar by walking on the way to Lakshmi Tea Estate where you can feel the fresh air with the beauty of green tea plantations with a wide variety of other trees and plants. While walking through the plantations you can see a river flowing and three different temples on the way and also the Chokanad Tea Factory can be seen. Then walking through a narrow way takes you to the CSI Church Munnar, which is more than 100 years old. The Church is always open for visitors. The tour is finish at Munnar CSI Church.
