This tour includes 3 different activities: The Volcano hike, La Fortuna Waterfall and Arenal Hanging Bridges. You will enjoy a secondary forest right in the base of the Arenal Volcano and a primary rainforest with great biodiversity in the hanging bridges, among this forest you will find yourself arriving at 15 different bridges in a variety of levels from the ground which will help you cross the area. Then, La Fortuna Waterfall, you will go to the base where you can enjoy its water by swimming in its natural pool. Please note there are are 500 steps to descend and the same number to return to the car. Remember to bring towel and bathing suit.

Sloth’s Territory is a private reserve located in El Tanque, less than 10 minutes away from La Fortuna downtown (Arenal Volcano). The place, managed by the Rodriguez Perez Family, it’s a truly gem with vibrant flora & fauna. The observation hike, a truly enigmatic experience is developed through a safe path. this trail runs the reserve along La Havana River, and offers the opportunity to observe many kind of animals in it’s natural habitat. Two & three-toed sloths, opossums, red frogs, porcupines, different kind of birds such as; Toucans, Tanagers, Royal Flycatchers, Hummingbirds, Parrots, Honeycreepers, Cinnamon Woodpeckers, enrich the activity. Night Walk Around The Arenal Volcano
This activity will take you to know the wonderful nocturnal secrets of the tropical rainforest accompanied by a Naturalist Guide. We will visit the trails of one of the best areas of La Fortuna to observe the local flora and fauna at the foot of the Arenal Volcano, Senderos and Mirador El Silencio. We will enter the forest in search of the hourglass frog, the Blue Jeans frog, the largest frog in the country, the “Chicken Eater Frog” and the most beautiful in Costa Rica, the red-eyed tree frog. Also in this place it is possible to observe some species of leaf insects, stick insects, snakes, such as the eyelash viper, snails, Velveteens, the Stone Hand Viper and coral snakes, some mammals such as sloths, opossums and anteaters.
