Glacier Hike + Ice Cave Adventure with Professional Photos
After a hike through an alien-like glacial tundra, we will arrive at the edge of the glacier where your guide will assist you in putting your crampons on. We will explore ice caves where your photographer will capture you inside these natural wonders. Once through the lower cave, which is named Sapphire Ice Cave, we will gear up for our hike on the glacier. With crampons on, you will hike to many different formations on the glacier including our famous crystal crevasses. The visuals you will see all around you will create an unimaginable experience as your photographer captures you amongst it. Every glacier hike through Ice Pic Journeys includes photos from your tour. Each person will receive 10 professionally edited photographs sent via a Drive within the 14 days after your hike. Ice Cave tour to Vatnajökull, Iceland´s largest glacier: In the incredible surroundings of the glacier lagoon and the biggest glacier in Europe, this tour has it all: glacier hike, super jeep ride, and magical blue ice cave; the tour takes you into a remote ice cave in the Vatnajokull icecap, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience the unique atmosphere of a crystal blue ice cave and the intense, beautiful blue color inside. We meet at Jökulsárlón (Glacier Lagoon) and drive in a jeep for about thirty minutes to where we begin the hike. Then, the walk to the ice cave takes about one to one-and-a-half hours. The hike leads through a rocky and uneven terrain of glacial moraine and onto the glacier itself. We´ll have plenty of time on this tour and fewer people than usual. A thrilling Ice Climbing experience with a professional photographer guide. This tour includes 10 professionally edited photos. The Ice Climbing Captured experience is for you. We will adventure through the deep crevasses of Vatnajokull while taking in some exceptional sights that this glacier has to offer. In regards to our instruction on ice, our day will start with a basic introduction to how to walk on ice and a basic climbing technique called front pointing. We will combine these two two techniques and with a very mellow ice climbing wall, we will put those skills to the test. Once you are confident, we will progress to different walls which offer various challenges until you are totally satisfied. Then, at the end of your tour, we will edit your photos and you will get a photo package within 14 days as the perfect souvenir to remember your epic adventure!
