90-Minute Private Dolphin Tour in Hilton Head Island

Cross over to the other side of the Sound and see Daufuskie Island. While on the Sound you’ll have a chance to glimpse other creatures that call the low country home; mobula rays jumping out of the water, spinner sharks breaching the surface, sea turtles coming up for a breath of air. Hundreds of species of birds that make their way through their migratory periods. This trip is a wonderland of wildlife to behold.

Sunset Cruise on Hilton Head Island
As you join us in the golden hour, you will get to see a beautiful sunset over the water as well as some great wildlife. We will explore the waters of Broad Creek and the Calibogue Sound in search of dolphins. Our tour guide knows most of our local dolphins by name and will introduce you to them as we come across them. We will teach you how to tell them apart, too! Not only will you get to know the dolphins as individuals, but you will also learn about bottlenose dolphins as a species and how they adapt to our local lowcountry ecosystem. With this tour, you will get 90-120 minutes to relax on the water and take in the natural sites. Our boat holds up to 24 people and sits low to the water for optimal viewing on this dolphin watching cruise.
Private Hilton Head Sunset Sailing Tour with Dolphin Watching
This 2 hour Private Sunset Sail, the Captain will take you (and up to 6 people) to Port Royal Sound (North side of island - generally best conditions for sailing). During Sunset, This is generally still pretty breezy with some good sailing. Perfect way to wind down and enjoy the ending of a great day. We will take the sails down to peacefully enjoy the beautiful show of an amazing Hilton Head Sunset. After the sun sets, we motor back to the marina and usually dock right around last light for the day. Sunset tours are usually full of wildlife such as dolphins, birds, sting ray and manatee which are some of the great wildlife that are often very prevalent in the evening. You will also have some great scenic views of Hilton Head, Pickney island and Parris island to mention a few. All of our sail trips we encourage our guests to be as involved in the sailing process as they would like. If you would instead like a relaxing trip, we then encourage you to relax and let the crew do the work.

This is an exciting and fun filled adventure that the entire family will enjoy! You will also learn the story of how Mermaid Nina became the Mermaid of Hilton Head, how she helps protect her ocean friends, why the things she does are important for our ecosystem, and what you can do to help. When we find the real mermaid, she knows our boat! She will swim right up to the boat and talk to our passengers about the ocean, Hilton Head wildlife, and of course, answer all of your mermaid questions! Sometimes Mermaid Nina’s arch nemesis, Professor Al G, will show up and try to capture her. She will rely on you to save her from Professor Al G and scare them away with our magic bubble wands!
