Tinganes is where the parliament met, it is one of the oldest parliamentary meeting locations in the world, it is dating back to the 800 and still used by some government employes Kirkjubø the southernmost village on Streymoy where we can see the ruins of the Magnus Cathedral from around 1300, the Saint Olav’s Church from 12th century and the old farmhouse Kirkjubøargarður from 11th century.
