Rømø

Rømø is presently the most southerly of Denmark's Wadden Sea Islands (the previous being the small uninhabited island of Jordsand which sank in 1999). It is connected to the Danish mainland by a causeway, and it is about 3 kilometers from the neighboring German island Sylt, to which it is accessible by ferry. It is home to several tiny settlements, including Kongsmark, Østerby, Lakolk, and Sønderstrand.
