Starting from your accommodation in Catania, the first stop will be a visit to a lava flow cave with torches and helmets.
Second stop to discover the Silvestri Craters created by the 1892 eruption on the southern side of the volcano, the route continues with a trek lasting approximately 1 and a half hours along a path characterized by ancient flows and breathtaking landscapes to discover the Silvestri craters born from eruption of 1892 on the southern slope of the volcano.
The tour will end with a typical Sicilian lunch where you can taste the flavors and food and wine tradition of the Etna area. A moment of pleasure, but also of relaxation before returning to the pick-up point in Catania.

The tour to the craters of 2002 is one of the most sought after destinations and chosen by tourists on the northern side of Etna, far from the large mass of visitors. This tour allows you to savor the authenticity of the Etna volcanic environment in total tranquility. Watch the sun set from the summit of Mount Etna on an evening tour from Taormina! Ascent with off-road vehicles along the panoramic path on the northern side of the volcano, till a height of 2825 mt. From this point we start the ascent on foot on a path surrounded by volcanic scoria and bombs. After doing 470mt positive level difference, we will reach the edge of the Central Crater (main crater of the volcano), at an altitude of 3300 mt. There we will stop to admire the uniqueness and the processes of the volcanic environment. the descent is planned on foot from 3300 to 1800 meters for about 7 kilometers, passing through large gullies full of soft volcanic sand to the starting point of the excursion.

The route is a valid alternative to the top craters, and is among the most complete and fascinating that can be offered on the volcano, suitable for those who want to walk among craters, fractures in the ground, lava flows and visit exceptional volcanic supply ducts, where a time the molten magmatic mass boiled.The trekking of great volcanological interest, involves the ascent on special 4x4 vehicles from an altitude of 1800 meters to an altitude of 2800 meters (for a total of 8 km of road) accompanied by your volcanological guide who will begin the explanations on board.During the journey you will visit the fracture called (Rift) of the north side of Etna, you will enter with your protective helmets inside the chimney of a perfectly intact volcanic cone, you will visit the mouths that have produced the lava flows. The excursion will continue, on the edge of large craters, through descents composed of slopes of volcanic ash, among the craters generated by innumerable lateral eruptions.

Departures planned from Piano Provenzana with off-road vehicles along the panoramic path that leads up to the north side of Mt. Etna, through ancient craters and recent lava flows up to 2825 mt. Then we start the ascent (470mt positive level difference) on foot on a path surrounded by volcanic bombs and scoria, till we will reach the Central Crater at a height of 3300 mt, where we will stop to admire the greatness,the uniqueness and the processes of this extraordinary volcanic environment, combined with the spectacle of the panorama that can be enjoyed from the roof of Sicily (the visibility might change according to weather or volcanic conditions). The descent goes back along the same path, while the last part will be made inside little channels constituted by soft and friable volcanic scoria, on which you can walk easily without any problem adopting the necessary precautions, till a height of 2825 mt where we will get the off road vehicles for the trip back down to Piano Provenzana.

The excursion starts from an altitude of 1,900 metres. After making the payment and purchasing the return tickets together with your guide, you will take the cable car up to an altitude of 2,500 meters. Here will begin your uphill trek for 500 meters of positive difference in altitude, among recent snow-capped flows, large craters, lava flow channels, hot fumaroles with high temperature gas leaks, up to an altitude of 3000 meters - MAXIMUM HEIGHT REACHABLE AT THE MOMENT DEPENDING ON THE LEVEL OF VOLCANIC RISK ⚠️ - at the base of the South Crater- East, the most active at the moment on Etna. The descent from an altitude of 3000 meters on foot to the cable car is foreseen, for the definitive return to the starting point

This entire day tour will allow you to get to the base of the summit craters of the Etna; the ascent to the summit will be performed either by cableway and off-road vehicles (on the South-East side of Etna) or by off-road vehicles only (on the North-East side of Etna). Once at the summit, you will enjoy an easy hike at the base of the summit craters accompanied by our naturalistic expert and a volcanological guide. Afterwards, you will explore the incredible volcanic underground by visiting one of the striking volcanic cave of the Etna, and then, after a lunch based on local typical products, you will visit the amusing Alcantara Gorges.

Starting from Catania, one our guide will lead you along a beautiful naturalistic path, while explaining the origins of our  Volcano. At 2000 mt you will catch cable car to reach 2500 mt and then on a 4x4 vehicle you will go up 2950 mt. Alpine guides will show you the beautiful landscape of the base of the summit craters seeing at 1 km of distance the main crater.
* In winter time, in case the trails are covered by a thick layer of snow (usually from January to March), part of the excursion will take place using snowshoes and sticks. It could be possible that you will go on the snow cat vehicle with an extra cost of 30 euro per person.
Then, join with us the visit of a cave of volcanic origins with all the equipment provided by us.
At lunchtime enjoy an outdoor picnic made of Sicilian typical street food, water, red wine and typical sweets. During winter time, the outdoor picnic could be substituted by lunch in a Chalet with pizza, because of the low temperatures.

The tour will start picking you up from the dock or other places you arrive. We get the highway to Mont Etna first,Taormina after and Naxos +Castelmola at the end. Castelmola is a small and enchanting village just above Taormina, with an amazing landscape and a great view of Mount Etna (3.330 mt. – 11.000 ft. – the highest volcano in Europe), and wonderful landscape of Giardini-Naxos bay. We spend here few time to visit the places, then we drive 5 min down to Taormina, the ancient greek colony, with its amazing pedestrian path (the ancient roman “valeria” road), the greek theatre, the monuments, the shops, the famous restaurants and pubs and more else. You spend in Taormina 1 or 2 hours, as you like, then we drive back to Messina (or Catania) for a quick city tour. Then we will drive you to the dock or others places you prefer, in time for departure.

From a naturalistic point of view, it is the most exciting tour as we will cross the small and typical municipalities of the area such as Calatabiano, Castiglione di Sicilia and Linguaglossa to reach Piano Provenzana. Upon returning, our journey will continue to reach the Alcantara Gorges: a lava canyon crossed by icy waters.
Here there will be the opportunity to taste typical local products inside the botanical and geological park and use an elevator to reach the canyon.

This tour combines the travel on an ancient and unique railway, the visit of a volcanic winery (wine and food tasting, visit to the vineyards and cellars).

The railway service starts either in Catania or in Riposto and always terminates in Randazzo (duration is 2 hours). The railway is peerless, connecting the small towns surrounding Mt. Etna, the highest active volcano in Europe. The view is just incomparable and scenic. In Randazzo, our guests will be driven to the close winery, for a full tour of the vineyards, cellars and a wine and food tasting (pairing of wines and Sicilian food). We will be picking you up from the shore of your port and drive to the highest and active volcano of Europe. During the ascent different kinds of vegetation can be noted. We will reach 2.000 meters where we then take a walk together to visit the "Silvestri" craters and the latest new lava flows and craters from 2001/2003. On the way, we visit a local family farm where it is possible to taste local Etna wine, a selection of different types of honey (orange, lemon, eucalyptus, strawberry...), almond pastries, olives, extra virgin olive oil.Driving down from the mount through a wonderful pine tree forest, we get to the highlights of Taormina. Not to miss is a visit to the Greek Theatre, a stroll to the mean street "Corso Umberto" with several art and designers shops, Baroque churches and Palazzi. The 2002 eruption was among the most impressive and devastating in recent years.
The route allows you to discover and study the many volcanic morphologies, related to the eruptions that followed one another on the northern slope of Etna. It will also be possible to visit the eruptions on the side of 10 September 1911 and 17 June 1923 which threatened the town of Linguaglossa.
You will climb along the pyroclastic cones of the 2002 eruption until you reach the maximum altitude of 2100 meters. Once on the 2100 meter Crater it will begin the descent into a sandy channel that will lead us back to the starting point of Piano Provenzana.

The tour will highlight different aspects of the volcano, such as its nature and resources, its sensational landscapes and its impressive lava flows that have destroyed roads and buildings. The first stop will be Milo, a small town in the Etna park, from which you can admire the Ionian coast with Taormina and the summit part of the volcano. On the north-east side of the Etna volcano you will visit the Sartorius Mountains, formed by seven dormant craters dating back to the 1865 eruption. After a short stop at a typical Etna refuge, equipped with helmet and torch you will visit the "Grotta dei Ladroni", a small lava flow tunnel opening into a prehistoric flow. The tour will end in Zafferana Etnea with a tasting of local specialties including honey, wine and liqueurs.
