Why you should try Pizza 4P's Ben Thanh at least once when in Ho Chi Minh City
Back in 2015, When I first try Pizza 4P's (For Peace) with couple of my classmates, the restaurant, in fact they'd already opened a handful of branches throughout Saigon, was a "hit" in town. Everyone that I have acquaintance of had been or would go to 4P's to try out the pizzas. After 7 years, 3 of which I've spent in Italy, the home of Pizzas, it is still one of the best pizzaria (pizza restaurant in Italian). The recently open brand overlooking Ben Thanh Market should be in your to do list once arrived in Saigon.

The original owners, they still are however some trust fund own a substantial portion of it, are fromTokyo, Japan. One day back in the early 2010s, they decided to build a pizza oven in their backyard. One thing comes to another, the first 4P's restaurant opened in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC), then it became the new hip restaurant in town. The people love its creamy cheese, handmade traditionally like they do it in Italy.
What they do with the cheese hides the brand's philosophy, they really value the Vietnamese ingredients, sourcing as much as possible from high quality Farm in Da Lat, a high altitude valley 300km from Saigon. The milk is local, culdled into cheese by the staff, serve on the table in a short period of time.

The Location
Locate next to Ben Thanh Market, a 160 year old central market, the epicenter of Saigon's own identity, its social life throughout its history even today. The restaurant itself is inside a similarly dated building build durin the colonial days. They striped the plaster on the wall down, revealing its historical structures with bricks baked the same way the French do, up till then, except for fortress, and castles, ordinary people live in wooden or leaves hut.
So like a vintage or a heritage, the restaurant seems like an attraction for both locals and tourists. Usually, no one in Saigon would come to Ben Thanh, only the tourists. The restaurant is an effort to bring back life to Ben Thanh Market, now the local resident would feel how lovely their city is with its own history.

The food
This is how they make the pizza, and the cheese more catered to Vietnamese. They reduced the salt content in both the dough, and the milk, so they would be a lot more like Vietnamese dish. The vegetable content inside each dish is also increased, in compared to traditional Italian pizzas.
The scallop pizza did not disapointed us, you can feel the freshiness scallop melting before you even bite them. Such a lovely feeling.
