Walk Through A Sea Of Picture-Perfect Paper Daisies Less Than An Hour From Sydney

Catch a stunning display of paper daisies at the Australian Botanic Garden, Mount Annan until the end of October.

Florals for spring? Not very groundbreaking, but if you’re tired of the smoke haze over Sydney, we suggest hitting the road for some fresh air and pretty spring vibes this weekend. If you’re planning your next daytrip out of town, here’s one to consider. The Australian Botanic Garden in Mount Annan is currently in full bloom with thousands of perfectly pink, yellow and white paper daisies and it’s a stunning sight. Find the sea of pretty blossoms just 50 minutes from Sydney CBD until the end of October.

Spring has sprung and it’s the perfect time to enjoy spring flowers in and around town. Spread across more than 2,000 square metres of picturesque garden beds, this vibrant display is completely free to visit until the end of October.

The lovely paper daisies are grown at the foot of the roofless Connections Garden museum, where flower enthusiasts and nature lovers can experience the development of this beautiful native garden display. If you would like to learn more, the gardens are also hosting free guided tours every Friday from 11am throughout the spring season. The gardens are open from 8am – 5pm, don’t miss out on this gorgeous floral show!

Wondering what else is on in and near Sydney this spring? There’s heaps on. See over 80,000 tulips bloom at Bowral’s spectacular Tulip Time festival or pack a picnic and head to one of Sydney’s pretty gardens that are currently bursting with colours. There’s also Floriade in Canberra, one of Australia’s biggest springtime celebrations and a floral display at Parramatta’s Wistaria Gardens closer home.
