The cafés in old Saigon buildings that you can't miss
Although Saigon is not an old city with its mere 300 years of history, old buildings built in the colonial and American occupation era have their own characteristics that not so many cities in the world possess. You'll find these places hide a nostalgia of some distant past, a memory of a city that was used to be called Saigon, "La Perle de l’Extrême Orient" - The Pearl of the Far-East.

If you are a film photographer, an audiophile, a coffee lover, or someone working in the creative industry, you'll love this café. It sits on top of an old building in District 1, above some other cool places like pottery, and a tailor. On the ground floor, there's a film lab where you purchase film stocks, send your film to be developed, etc
The café is great for working on your laptop, the desks are separated from one another for personal space. The furniture is possibly bought from thrift stores, which add to the nostalgic aesthetics. I'd recommend you try cold brew or a glass of wine in the afternoon.
They'll play vintage records all day long on the audiophile system, the sounds are amazing for studying and working on your project.

Sori cafe & more20 Tú Xương, Võ Thị Sáu, Quận 3, Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh 700000, Vietnam
A colonial-era building from the XIX century, this is a recently open café. Up until now, this building has never been open to the public. A genuine house of French officials back in the days, it has recently been the home of a popular interior designer. You'll love this place for its luxurious rooms and swimming pool.
There are many rooms in the café, each has its own set of furniture. The swimming pool area must be the most curated, somewhat reminds me of a Spanish courtyard back in my trip in Europe.
Service hour : 7:00 – 22:00 - the parking lot is 500 meters from the café, ask the staff for more info.
