My trip to Hue, Danang and Hoi An in September

The coastal Vietnam is narrow and drastically differ from one region to another. The mystical Vietnamese history ranges for 4000 years, most of it happened exclusively within the Northern Vietnam, along the Red river delta. The Central Vietnam and its sibling, the Six Southern Provinces were recently acquired, more accurately conquered and annexed both brutally and peacefully. Hue, Danang and Hoi An are the common destinations of both foreign and national tourist due to its rich history and beautiful coast. The weather is best from January to September, the other months are quite rough because of storms and rains.

Danang

Danang is well deserved to be one of the best city in Vietnam. The street are so clean and organized you would barely accept Saigon as on par with it. One thing about Danang makes it superior to Saigon is the price are very well shown, you won't find yourself being scammed over anything food. Being said, the coconut at the beach are quite expensive, mind you beach chair will cost 40k plus the coconut 30k.

Food to check out:

Vietnamese rice cake, they're inside the Con Market at this address. Clean, taste good, and cheap.

Rice cake soup

jellyfish salad

Tre Salad (pork, pig ear, somebeef), exclusively in Central Vietnam

Seafood (quite cheap)

Marble Mountain and Lady Buddha from Hoi An or Da Nang

Marble Mountains - Hoi An Ancient Town Daily Ingroup Tour

Golden Bridge & Ba Na Hills including buffets lunch full day from Danang City

Hoi An

Around 30 km from Da Nang is Hoi An. While I know this location is the top of the bucket list of some of you, I find the town a complete disapoinment. I used to visit it at a kid, the town used be quite rundownm with authentic soul. Now people butchered the town history in the most bastardized way. Street vendor haggle and pull the tourists over for disgraceful foot massage.

Just don't buy any suit in Hoi An, please just don't. Find better tailor than being scammed with oversized, low skill tailor.

Anyways, the old kiln on the way to Hoi An from Danang was an amazing spot for photoshoot.

Hue

Leaving for Hue was easy, get in to the Vietnam railway website https://dsvn.vn/ to buy tickets. Same as danang, the city was easy going, no pushy street vendor, you'll won't be stressed out as pick pocket and petty theft as in Saigon, there's still some but I haven't ecounter any.

We picked a walking tour from a local team, not sure they speak English but you'll find plenty over Trip.social, I'll list it down.
