Accompanied by a degree in History and an official tourist guide, in this visit we will learn about the changes that our city underwent with the arrival of the railroad, the growth of the bourgeoisie and the leap to modernity that Le贸n made in the change from the 19th to the 21st century. We will discover what Gaud铆's work in Le贸n meant and the radical change that a city underwent that, until the arrival of the railroad, seemed anchored in the past. Astorga in full
This route is the best way to get to know the town of Astorga in depth, it is a combination of the two previous visits. In the morning we will visit the Cathedral of Astorga, at the entrance there will be an audio guide that will explain in detail each one of the spaces of the cathedral. Divide your time well during the visit to the Cathedral because at 12:30 you will have to approach Gaud铆's Episcopal Palace, where a guide will be waiting for you to start the guided tour. After finishing the visit, you will have free time to have lunch on your own and walk the streets of Astorga. At 16:30 you will have to go to the Roman Museum La Erg谩stula. After exploring the museum in its entirety, we will take the Roman Route of Astorga to admire the different archaeological remains found in the city. After finishing return to Le贸n around 18:30 hrs. Valporquero Cave Excursion
Departure from Le贸n through the Tor铆o River Valley. We will pass through the town of Vegacervera with its Roman bridge and the impressive Hoces de Vegacervera, brief stop at Las Hoces, to contemplate its rocky walls over 100 meters high. We continue the ascent to the Valporquero Caves, located at about 1,300 meters of altitude. With an interior temperature of about 7潞C (proper clothing and shoes are recommended). The visit is guided and lasts an hour and a half, where you can admire its 5 rooms with their stalactites and stalagmites. When the visit is over, I return to Le贸n.

Monumental Astorga
Our first stop will take place at the imposing cathedral of Astorga. Free visit to the temple following the explanations of an audio guide in Spanish, included in the excursion. The Cathedral of Astorga is one of the main monuments of the Leonese path of the Jacobean Route. Inside the temple you will find artistic jewels such as the choir stalls or the main altarpiece, a Renaissance-style masterpiece. Next to the cathedral is the Episcopal Palace of Astorga. Wait a minute, haven't we taken the wrong bus and traveled to Barcelona? It's just that the forms of the palace remind us so much of Catalan modernism... Don't worry, there has been no confusion. we are in the province of Le贸n, the only thing that happens is that the Astorgano Palace is designed by Antonio Gaud铆 himself. With this visit we will delve into the long history of the town. We will visit the Roman Museum La Erg谩stula.
