The Cali Street Food Walking Tour
Welcome to my introduction to my hometown: discover local culture while we walk amongst landmarks and try local snacks. Come hungry! I will take you through a list of food spots that I've personally chosen. From hots to colds, solids to beverages, sweet to salty, stores & street vendors, national and local, fried to baked, fruits to meats, and everything in between while we walk amongst the city's most famous landmarks. All tasting options are snacks. Don't be fooled, most are not small. Our route will be the following (depending on availability): STOP 1: plantain chips. STOP 2: Bakery - pandebono, roscón. STOP 3: coconut products STOP 4: Empanadas and local fried snacks as well as lulada and champús, traditional beverages. STOP 5: Chontaduro: regional fruit said to be aphrodisiac. STOP 6: Raspado / Cholado - ice with fruits in different preparations. Vegans welcome. Vegetarians welcome. Gluten-free people are welcome. Meat-lovers welcome as well! Street Food Tour
The “Street Food Tour” gives you a real taste of Cali though its local food and drinks. First we explore the streets and some parks of the city on foot. Here we talk about the city's history and street culture. We discover amazing street art, some of the pieces are simply stunning and others have interesting social messages. Hopefully we come across some street venders that sell delicious food or drinks. We finish in a local market, where we try different food and drink samples. We try tropical fruits like ‘Chontaduro’, typical drinks like 'Lulada', typical food like 'Ceviche Colombiano' and a lot more. We can try at least 15 samples of food and drinks during the tour, so don't eat to much breakfast. The tour is suitable for vegetarianas as well!
