Located within a ranch, the Recanto Ecológico Rio da Prata offers snorkeling in small guided groups of up to ten visitors. Visitors will snorkel down crystalline rivers alongside more than 50 colorful species of tropical fish. This giant aquarium experience consists of two parts: a trail through the lush, tropical riparian forest, and a 2 hour aquatic journey (2 km snorkeling downriver) down the astonishingly clear Olho d’Água river, that joins the bigger and slightly less transparent Prata river (600 meters snorkeling). There is also the option of scuba diving the Prata river. The ranch also offers other activities: horseback riding through the farm fields and birdwatching with 200 species registered. The ecotourism attraction has won awards for its compromisse with visitor’s safety, quality and nature conservation.
Blue Lake Cave
The Blue Lake Cave is one of the main postcards of Bonito-MS and certainly one of the most beautiful settings in Brazil, it is one of the largest flooded caves on the planet, and visiting it is a true journey to the origins of the region. The tour is entirely contemplative, and to reach the lake, it is necessary to descend almost 300 steps, equivalent to a 12-story building. But don't worry, the reward is worth it. The lake is crystal clear, and the blue color that makes it famous is due to a combination of factors, such as the location of the cave and the presence of minerals on its bottom. In the early hours of the morning, the blue becomes even more intense, and outside of visiting hours, it is no longer possible to see this coloration. To take the tour, visitors must wear a helmet provided by the tour, and wearing hiking shoes or sandals with rubber soles is mandatory.
Snorkeling Rio Da Prata Tour
Start this tour with a pick-up service from your centrally located hotel in Bonito. The real adventure starts 56 km (35mi) from the city center with a 50-minute hike through a beautiful forest and unspoiled flora that coexists harmoniously with birds and other wildlife. Once you arrive at the snorkeling location, you will swim in the river and a new world will appear before your eyes. You will float quietly in a huge aquarium with crystal clear water. You will experience a unique feeling as you get to fly through underwater plants and animals. Later on, you will visit the Olho D’água spring, to see a spectacular visual effect on the river´s bottom. After snorkeling, you have the option to have lunch in the reception´s restaurant (not included). You will be returned to your hotel midday.

Estância Mimosa offers its visitors an interpretive trail amidst the forest stopping by eight waterfalls of all sizes and shapes, where you can swim in natural pools. The trail is done in small groups guided by a local specialist guide. Along the way, there are small caves, a diving platform and viewpoints with privileged view to the mountains of the Bodoquena Mountain Range. Trail through the riparian forest and Scuba diving in one of the most crystalline flooded caves of the world. Snorkeling is also a option. For those who have never dived before, a first diving experience called “baptism” is offered, reaching the maximum depth of 8 meters. For certificate divers, the depth to be reached depends on the level of certifi cation. Lagoa Misteriosa, which translates as “Mysterious Lagoon”, is a lake at the bottom of a sinkhole, a type of geological formation common in limestone regions. This lake of transparent waters impresses visitors for its incredible depth, it is considered one of the deepest submgerged caves in Brazil, with more than 220 meters of water column. The vision of the blue abyss at the bottom of the lake, the submerged tree trunks, the aquatic vegetation, the golden leafs and small fishes shining with the sunbeams in the water, all this transforms the Lagoa Misteriosa in a unique environment.
Rio Formoso Ecological Park Admission Ticket with Optional Act
The Ecological Park is one of the walks of Bonito MS closer to the centrinho, making it be easily accessible. It is only 7 km on a fully paved highway to the attractive port. All transportation options available in Bonito MS are accredited with the Ecological Park: Own or rented car (We have parking) - Private / private transport (Contracted only for you) - Regular / shared transport (contracted for you and others) If you like physical activity and like to add to your experience, see options for bike rentals in the city and pedaling to the Park. Due to the proximity, it is common for visitors to choose this option. If you do, bring plenty of water for coming and going. It is also very important that you wear a cap or hat and plenty of sunscreen!
Boca da Onça Waterfall Tours
The tour starts with a pickup service from the hotels in the center of Bonito, to go to the Bodoquena region, where our adventure begins. At the Boca da Onca farmhouse, we will be greeted by specialized guides, highly trained and experienced, that will accompany us on our 4 km long ecological walk. The trails are well equipped and take us deeper and deeper into the Pantanal to explore the wonderful running-water pools, where we can enjoy a refreshing bath in its crystal clear waters. Then, we continue our trek to pass through 11 waterfalls, each more spectacular than the one before. One of those waterfalls is Boca da Onca, the highest in the state with its 156m high. Then, we get back to the ranch, so that you can recharge your energies, and relax with the sound of the running water. Also, you can feel free to use the facilities of the ranch: a bar and restaurant, dressing rooms, bathrooms, a pool, and a hammock.
