Naxos: Rhina Cave Sea Kayaking Tour
The tour starts at the beautiful, sandy beach of Kalandos! After an equipment check and safety briefing by your certified guide, you’ll be ready to go! You’ll be paddling a distance of about 8 km. Along the way, the view from the neighboring Cycladic islands is breathtaking! We’ll make stops at tiny sea coves where we’ll stop to swim. You will paddle among awesome geological formations along the coastline until you reach the most impressive of them all: Rhina Cave with its ceiling of miniature stalactites and its inviting beach nearby! Rhina Cave’s pristine, secluded beach invites you to relax. We'll make a stop at the beach for about 30-40 min. Your guide will prepare for you delicious snacks. All you have to do is just sit back and enjoy, or swim, snorkel and explore the rich marine life of the area! Then back to our kayaks to head back to the starting point at Kalandos Beach.

Departing from the port of Naxos and after 45 minutes of travel, the boat arrives to the island of Delos, a “floating” archaeological site dedicated to god Apollo. On Delos the entrance fee is 12,00 euro per person. With a 3 hour stop, visitors have the time to admire the unique archaeological site. Half an hour away is the cosmopolitan island of Mykonos. A four hours stay gives the opportunity to walk through the beautiful streets, visit the famous “Little Venice” and enjoy a stroll through the shops on the island.

We will sail along Naxos West Coast and after a 2 hours pleasant sailing before reaching Alimia Beach , the captain will stop at the wreck of a Wold War 2 airplane! There you will have time for photos and diving. Next stop will be Karvounolakos, another one of Iraklia's unique beaches. It is located in a small bay with green and blue water. If you are lucky enough you will find goats there enjoining the sun. Following stop is Fidou in Schinoussa , a sandy beach without trees for shade but with an inviting seabed and turquoise waters , there we will stop for 2 hours and we will have a BBQ lunch break with a variety of delicacies , with local wine, water and soft drinks. Last but not least stop will be Agios Georgios in Iraklia for a 2 hour stop. Where you can either swim or or stroll around the village.
Riverbank Adventure in Naxos (Kinidaros - Eggares)
Start your day with a convenient transfer service from your hotel. Your hike starts at Kinidaros, a scenic village nestled amid marble quarries. As you hike all the way down to the river, the views of the nearby mountains as they blend with the deep blue of the Aegean are breathtaking! As soon as you reach the riverbanks, the landscape changes completely. The air is cooler, shady spots abound, and vegetation is rioting next to abandoned watermills, lagoons, and small waterfalls, while crabs and water turtles make their way at the water’s edge next to oleander bushes and plane trees. The trail ends in Eggares, an old, quiet farming village, where you’ll have the chance to visit one of Naxos’s oldest remaining olive mills, dating back to at least the late 1800s when it pressed locally-grown olives for the village community. At Eggares, we’ll share a great, leisurely meal at one of the village’s best traditional tavernas. Then our transport will take you back to your accommodations!
