After seeing this remarkable site, we will drive back to the centre and spend some time visiting some of the main attractions in this amazing village: Fort Charlotte- Hay´s Dock is a beautifully restored historic dock. Visit the Shetland Museum and Archives where the galleries are split into different zones. Enjoy the picturesquely grouped house and stores built on lodberry. Enjoy the views over Victoria Pier. 5 Days Shetland Viking Fire Festival Experience
Unique to Shetland, Up Helly Aa is a sight to behold. On the last Tuesday of January, the townspeople of Lerwick don traditional Viking attire and march through the town's streets to King Harald Street where they burn a wooden Viking galley. Festivities go on late in to the night, with the squads performing hilarious acts in venues around the town. Join us to witness this amazing spectacle whilst exploring some of Shetland's most stunning scenery, and learning a little about the history of Britain's most northerly archipelago.
