Truffle is an unusual subterranean fungus. There are two important varieties of truffles: white truffle (Tuber Magnatum) and black truffle (Tuber Melanosporum). Both of these can be found in the Motovun forest located in the valley of the Mirna River. Even though truffles can be found elsewhere, Motovun truffles are considered to be of the highest quality.Truffles live 10 – 30 centimetres underground, which makes it hard to find, and that’s why trained dogs are used in the truffle hunting activities. If you came to visit Motovun, you should not miss out truffle hunting adventure. Svilicic family have more then forty years of experience in truffle hunting. Pula: Sea Cave Kayak Tour with Snorkeling and Swimming
The Blue Cave Kayak Tour is an exploration of Pula’s Coastline. The starting point of this kayak experience is Valsaline beach. After a quick welcome and briefing from our tour guides, we are ready to settle in the kayaks for a (approximately) 45 minutes route while enjoying the summer scenery all the way to the Muzil Peninsula. We continue to the Canyon Muzil to discover small caves and cliffs between crystal clear waters of the Adriatic sea, documenting every moment with our camera. To keep up the beautiful experience, our next stop is the Blue Cave with a cavernous entrances, in which we are allowed to enter with kayaks to discover a hidden beach and enjoy the natural beauty of the cave. Before the way back, we stop on a nearby beach, which is a perfect spot for swimming, snorkeling and, if you like to feel the adrenaline, cliff jumping (up to 10 meters). On the way back, the tour guides will make short stops as needed. We paddle back to the starting point.
