Indian Village Embera Tour
This is a very unique tour, you will be taken back in time as you visit an Indian village in the jungle and on the shores of the Charges river in Panama. The Embera tribe are Native Americans who have inhabited Panama for centuries. As you enter the village you will be received by tribe members who are friendly and interactive. They will show you their way of life, culture, dances, and learn facts about their everyday life. You will also visit a small indigenous market where you may purchase artisan items created by the natives themselves. Lunch will be provided as well. You will then travel upriver to a beautiful waterfall and hike a short distance through the rainforest while seeing birds, the occasional monkey, fish, and various other forms of wildlife. Kayaking tour in the Chagres River
Explore rowing on a kayak the beautiful Chagres River before it merges at the Gatun lake where the huge vessels and boats transit from Ocean to Ocean. The Chagres river is the main tributary of water of the Canal. A quite waterway, enjoying the sound of the wild life of this dense tropical forest. You might get the opportunity to see a sloth in a tree, a colorful bird peacefully living in the jungle or at the top the water plants, caimans, turtles among many others species of the local fauna. After a short hike to the small port used by the Embera indigenous at Gamboa, the tour last about 1 hour and 20 minutes (in the kayak) always accompanied by our bilingual guide and probably also by an Embera guide from the area who knows the place better than anyone.

Start this fascinating journey with a pick up by your English speaking naturalist tour guide, we will drive for 45 minutes to the town of Gamboa once there we are going aboard our expedition boat to navigate into the waters of the Panama Canal. On the waters of the canal you will see a giant ships just next to our boat, reach the gatun lake to explore different islands looking for wildlife, monkeys, birds, sloths, crocodiles will be part of this experience. Return to the pier and drive to the soberania National park, we are going to explore the rainforest from the inside and we will have the opportunity to spot more wildlife along the road, after this nature walk drive to a restaurant for lunch (Not included), we will be back around 2:30 p.m to your hotel.
Embera indigenous Village visit
An unique experience where you can step back in time on a tour to visit one of the Emberá communities who still live in traditional villages deep in the rainforest of Panamá, besides the Chagres river inside The Soberania National Park. The Emberá people are proud to share their culture and traditions with visitors. The day begins with the Hotel pick up to proceed to the Gamboa Pier, where you will embark for a short boat ride, in the main water tributary of the Famous Panama Canal Gatun Lake. At arrival, you will be receive with a traditional greeting with music, they will also give you a short presentation about the Emberá culture, including dances, craft work, traditions, ecc.. The lunch is prepared by the indigenous and consist in fish wrapped in plantain leaves with Patacones. Before returning to the pier, you will have spare time to buy some craft, get an Embera tattoo or simply walk around.
