On our Rut Tour, you will be taken up the famous Old Fall River Road (when open, typically through Sep.) where you will see beautiful mountain views / waterfalls, stop at the highest visitor center in the US National Park System, drive back down the highest continuous paved road in the United States, Trail Ridge Road (when open, typically through Sep.), and witness the elk rut mating season in Moraine Park. When Old Fall River Road isn't open, you will drive up and back down Trail Ridge Road. Pryography is an art technique that involves using high temperatures to 'draw' designs and patterns in to wood, and also add shading and texture to the working surface. In this Inspired Art Studio class, participants will learn the basics of this art form while creating 4 different wood art pieces, using Colorado Wildlife and the Rocky Mountain Landscape as inspiration. These pieces will then be assembled into a wall hanging or mobile art piece that can be hung in the creators home to as a souvenir of their time spent in the Colorado Rockies.
