eBike Northern Lights Chase

eBike Northern Lights Chase

This unique tour will take you from the city centre and through the local living areas before leaving the asphalt on to gravel roads and easy paths until we reach the bottom of the climb up to peak Keiservarden.

From there it is a 4,5 km ride 360 metres uphill - but no worries, your eBike will help keeping the heart rate down, although a little self effort and a light sweat is necessary.

We take breaks as needed and at the top we spend some time looking at the fantastic view 360 degrees. This is a prime spot for watching the Aurora Borealis play up, undisturbed of the city lights.

Downhill is easy and as exiting as you preferr - just keep your speed at a comfortable level and don't scare those on a hike up.

While riding we communicate with Walkie Talkies - for guiding and heads-up situations.
Northern light safari to aurora camp

Northern light safari to aurora camp

Total silence, total darkness. No light pollution from nearby cities.
When hunting the aurora borealis, these conditions are cruicial. We provide you with just that - optimal conditions for the perfect northern lights experience. At the end of the lake, among reindeer, moose and beautiful nature you will encounter a sense of calmness you've never had before. When the campfire bursts in the heated tipi, and the coffee is boiling on the campfire; life doesn't get better than this.
And if you're lucky, the Northern Lights will shine brightly above you on the cold Arctic starry sky. When the snow is on the ground, we drive a snowmobile to the camp. Maybe you want to try driving yourself?
The northern lights doesn't always appear in the sky but the experience gives you a unique memory anyway, you get to feel the arctic nature up close. When snowconditions are good, we use snowmobile and sled from the farm to aurora camp. Without snow, we are hiking!
Mosjøen via ferrata and Zipline

Mosjøen via ferrata and Zipline

Join us on an exhilarating mountain adventure on the world’s northernmost via ferrata. Via ferrata means “iron path”. This mountain-climbing adventure doesn’t require any specialised knowledge or prior experience. The route is classified as B/C, easy to moderately difficult, making it a fun and exciting way to climb a mountain that is within most people’s reach.

The first part of our journey climbs the newly-built Sherpa Path, up the narrow Trongskaret pass. We connect your harness to the first stretch of cable. After a while, we reach a viewpoint where we unpack our lunch and savour the incredible panorama of Mosjøen and its environs. The second stretch of the via ferrata takes us to the summit, 660 metres. Our descent follows a regular hiking trail down to the rock stairs called Helgelandstrappa, and to the starting point of the zipline. Your flight down the 700 metre long zipline takes you across the river and lands you safely in the gardens of Fru Haugans Hotel.

Moose Safari from Bodo, Northern Norway, Meet the Largest Land Animal in Europe

Moose Safari from Bodo, Northern Norway, Meet the Largest Land Animal in Europe

The Moose is quite shy and is easily scared back into the woods, but normally they are quite co-operative and allow us to get quite near. We know the habits and life of the moose and where we have the best chances to see them.

Elg - the moose is called Elg in Norway, but the moose is not comparable with the american elk. The elk (cervus canadensis) , however, is an entirely different deer (much smaller).

Largest in Europe - the moose is Europes largest land animal, also the largest member in the deer family. A fully grown bull are over 2 meters high at the shoulders and weighs up to 750 kg (1650 lb). Cows seldom weighs more than 470 kg (1035 lb).

Saltstraumen: The moose safari trip will also include a stop by Saltstraumen, the strongest maelstrom in the world. You can walk the bridge and look down in to the powerful whirlpools.
