The Real Alcázar of Seville, together with the Archive of the Indies and the Seville Cathedral, has been declared a World Heritage Site in 1987. It is an impressive place full of history that has been the setting for movies and the famous series "Game of Thrones». The palace is a mixture of architectural styles, such as Mudejar, Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque. The origin of the Real Alcázar dates back to the High Middle Ages, although some areas typical of Islamic art can still be seen. It was in the 14th century when King Pedro ordered the construction of a Mudejar-style palace attached to the Gothic palace of Alfonso X, which became the Royal House. Throughout the centuries, it has been the residence of the Spanish Royal Family in Seville and is currently reserved for the exclusive use of royalty, except for tourist visits.
