The royal city of Mysuru known for its heritage and monuments is replete with rich tradition and is referred as the cultural capital of Karnataka. The city is also home to the famed Mysuru silk and a visit to the silk factory reveals the work that goes into turning silk threads into silk sarees. Chamundi hill is home to the mother deity of Mysuru- Chamundeshwari, and apart from paying obeisance to her, we also get a panoramic view of the city from this hill top. The vibrant and colourful Devaraj Urs market is a delight to stroll through with spices, incense sticks and flowers on display. A visit to the silk cocoon market in Ramanagar and wooden toy factory at Channapatana offers an insight into the small scale industries that thrive in this region. Note: Some of the tour attractions cannot be experienced on Sundays/ Public holidays as they would be closed.
