Bovec is located on the border of the Triglav National Park (TNP), Slovenia’s only national park. It covers an area of 840 square kilometres, one of which is the scenic Soča Valley. Its most beautiful part, inside the TNP, is only a 10-minute drive away from Bovec. It is where the iconic Soča River has carved up beautiful gorges full of emerald green pools. The valley is so picturesque it was a part of a few Hollywood films, most notably The Chronicles of Narnia.
