The tour will start at 9am from Tbilisi, the first location to be visited will be Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, which was the religious center of Christian Georgia for centuries. Then we will visit the 6th-century cross monastery, which is the first example of a cross-type church, it represents a new level of sculptural decoration of architecture. From this place, there is a beautiful view of the city of Mtskheta and the confluence of the rivers Mtkvari and Aragvi. From the Cross Monastery, we will drive to the Shiomghvime Monastery,which was founded by one of the Assyrian fathers, Shio, in the second half of the 6th century. The monastery is located close to Mtskheta, and on the way we will pass through beautiful valleys and canyons.
