Miru: The North Coast Full Day Hike

Since the reopening of the island to tourism in 2022 it is now mandatory to enter these National Park sites with a local guide. The North Coast of Rapa Nui (Easter Island) was the territory of the aristocratic Miru tribe and its many branches. There are no roads here, only narrow trails to explore ten miles of Rapa Nui lands only hearing the sounds of nature. It always is an unforgettable experience. We will hike through ancient moai roads, remains of villages, incredible ceremonial centers, petroglyphs and the rocky landscapes of the nortwest and north coasts. Our local experts will share with you scientific and traditional lore perspectives of this region and its features.
