The tour begins at the Church of San Giacomo, which according to legend is said to be the oldest church of the city. From here you will head to the city's oldest market, the Rialto Market: It supplies fresh ingredients not only to residents but also to the local bacari. Here at the market you will have a culinary break with a cicheto. Then participants continue along the hidden streets past the most crooked door in the city uncovering the structural origins of the city. Walk to the Church of Sant'Aponal in the immediate vicinity of the place where none other than Pope Alexander III is said to have spent a night like an ordinary beggar. Then discover the Church of San Silvestro, where the Wine Merchants' Guild was based. At the end of the tour you will discover through symbols and street signs where luxury goods were traded. Finish the tour with a breathtaking view over the Rialto Bridge and the Fontego dei Tedeschi. The tour is barrier-free as there are no bridges to cross.
