In this 1-day tour, we will visit two of the most important sites in Fukuoka. The first one Dazaifu is a very popular place among travelers from domestic and abroad.
Dazaifu Tenmangu is dedicated to the spirit of Sugawara Michizane, a scholar and politician of the Heian Period. Because of his great learning, Michizane has been associated with Tenjin, a Shinto deity of education, and is popular among students.
The second town Yanagawa is a little city where a very unique water supply system for flood control, irrigation, various mechanisms by the wisdom of our ancestors is still alive. There you can see the feudal era of heritage is still alive, with the world's leading waterway in harmony with canal that extends to the center city 2km square to the extension 60km. That's why this city has another name "Venice in Japan".
