The South Rim of the Grand Canyon trail is one of Yellowstone's most spectacular shorter hikes. The trail is about 1.7 miles (2.8 kilometers) long, and makes its way in and out of a forest, as it follows the Yellowstone River through the majestic Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. We'll take in two spectacular waterfalls along the way, Yellowstone's Upper Falls and Yellowstone's Lower Falls. The hike ends at the aptly named Artist Point, which provides the best views of the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. Note that there are some small inclines and descents on this trail, which is at elevation.
