Full Day Guided Walking Tour in Nikko City from Tokyo

A sacred place for Japan's mountain worship, Nikko is home to the "Shrines and Temples of Nikko," a registered World Heritage Site. On this tour, walk around World Heritage component sites such as Nikko Toshogu Shrine with a National Government-Licensed English Guide Interpreter. In small groups, customers go on a course where they can learn more about Japan while listening to explanations in English about Nikko's history, culture, and faith.

As there are land leeches from April to November, please be sure to keep your legs covered. We recommend wearing thick socks that cover the ankles and bringing bug spray.
As there are slopes and stairs areas around Nikko Toshogu Shrine and Kanmangafuchi Abyss, wearing shoes with good traction and clothing easy to walk in as well as using a backpack are recommended. (A distance of about 5 km will be covered.)
The order of the tour itinerary is subject to change due to road conditions, events, ceremonies, or other reasons.
Public transportation will be used to move around on this tour. At Nikko, customers may be unable to sit on board route buses as it may be crowded.
In case access to Kanmangafuchi Abyss is deemed unsafe due to road surface freezing, etc., if Nikko Toshogu Shrine cannot be entered, or due to other operation circumstances, the tour may be taken to another destination. In such a case, it will be one of the following.: Futarasan Shrine or Taiyuuin Mausoleum at Rinno-ji Temple
In general, the transfer from Shinjuku to Nikko will be a direct limited express train from JR Shinjuku Station to Tobu Nikko Station (also used for the return trip). However, due to timetable alterations or operation circumstances, the transportation to be used may be changed to JR Tohoku Shinkansen (non-reserved seat) + conventional line train, or a limited express train departing from Tobu Asakusa Station + subway. In any case, the transportation/limited express fare for the transportation route is included in the tour booking charge, and the guide will also accompany the tour from departure from Keio Plaza Hotel Tokyo until arrival at Shinjuku Station.
Regarding options with lunch, Muslim-friendly meals, allergy-friendly meals, gluten-free meals, etc. are not available.
