An unique experience where you can step back in time on a tour to visit one of the Emberá communities who still live in traditional villages deep in the rainforest of Panamá, besides the Chagres river inside The Soberania National Park. The Emberá people are proud to share their culture and traditions with visitors. The day begins with the Hotel pick up to proceed to the Gamboa Pier, where you will embark for a short boat ride, in the main water tributary of the Famous Panama Canal Gatun Lake. At arrival, you will be receive with a traditional greeting with music, they will also give you a short presentation about the Emberá culture, including dances, craft work, traditions, ecc.. The lunch is prepared by the indigenous and consist in fish wrapped in plantain leaves with Patacones. Before returning to the pier, you will have spare time to buy some craft, get an Embera tattoo or simply walk around.
