St. Stephen’s Day is one of the most important national holidays in Hungary. King St. Stephen, who was canonized on August 20, 1083 by Pope Gregory VII, was the first monarch of Hungary. This day became an annual celebration in 1771 with the help of Maria Theresa, who designated it as a national state and church holiday. Since then, Hungarians celebrate on August 20th with day-long festivities, creative programs, and fireworks. Our boat offers one the best ways to experience this Hungarian holiday. You will spend 4,5 hours on our Catamaran boat, while enjoying a delicious 4-course dinner. Enjoy live entertainment and an excellent view in the city to see the fireworks in the center of the Hungarian capital, all while avoiding the huge crowds. The colorful display is centered around Gellért Hill, but you can see them from a unique spot, directly on the river.
