Our full day tour with Sonia was fantastic!!!! She picked us up at our hotel and took us on a full day adventure to Sintra. Even though it was raining in the morning she was able to custom make an itinerary that worked out great. We did things inside while it was raining and by the end of the day the sun was shining and we did all of the outdoor portion of the trip. We started at thePalace of Queluz and Sonia was very helpful in giving us the history of this beautiful historic site. We then traveled to the town of Sintra to wait out the rain and ate yummy sweets and had coffee. We did a bit of shopping and then headed to Pena Palace. We did the inside tour and by the time we were ready to head out doors, the rain had cleared and we got some wonderful photos. While we were doing the tour I could see others craning their necks to hear Sonias wonderful stories about the Palace. They were even asking for her card so they could book her for future tours. Sonia then took us to a seaside town for a light lunch and then off to the beach to see the very western point of Portugal! A wonderful day where we were dropped right back off at our hotel with a feeling we spent the day with a friend showing us her country with pride!!!!

The lunch at Arriba Hotel was excellent, but not nearly as good as our guide Miguel, he was knowledgeable, informative and gregarious. We went on four tours, three of them with private guides and Miguel was far and away the BEST!!!

On our first full day of our vacation we chose this particular tour because it was promised to be a small tour, the high ratings this particular has received, and the fact that there was a hotel pickup and return. New to a foreign country, and committing to an 8 hour trip with a tour guide we may or may not like seemed risky. We came down to the lobby 5 minutes early and asked our hotel front desk where tour companies pick up, only to discover our driver was a few feet away and had already spoken to the front desk looking for us. He greeted us warmly, and was patient as we gathered our things. Valerio was exceptional in making sure our day was enjoyable. He is of Italian and Portugess ancestry, and we connected with him easily, since we are Italian American and had visited his city of irigin. Rome, several times. Valerios was knowledgeable, friendly, and very patient navigating us past the long lines of tourists at the palace. He gave us some free time in Sinthra which is a lovely small town, and then took us to a spectacular oceanfront restaurant at a hotel where the food was simply amazing and reasonably priced. The other tourists in our group, a mother and college aged daughter visiting from California and Canada were delightful companions for the day. By the end they felt like friends. Each stop was special and Valerio gave us plenrty of time to enjoy each place and not rush us through when we went off schedule through no fault of his. Giving us time to explore on out own we did not grow tired of him by the end of a long day. At the end of the trip we received warm hugs and left as friends. Great day, new comfortable Mercedes van. Highly recommended tour and Valerio made it all that much better.

I had really good tour with Diego. He took my wife and I to Sintra as well as some sights in Lisbon. Diego was super knowledgeable and very accommodating. I had a strange situation where my airline delayed my flight to the end of the day last minute. Diego was able to pick me up from the airport, take us all around to see all the cool stuff we saw and get us back to the airport in time for our connecting flight that was delayed. Given the weird time constraints Diego made it work and was accommodating along the way. We will definitely do another tour when we’re back in Portugal. Don’t think twice about it, this tour group is the one to book.

Miguel was a great guide and took us around Sintra and Cascais. He was very prompt to pick us up. He also was great at giving us background and history of a place but also letting us explore on our own. He also tailored the tour to how much walking we could do. A good mix. Overall we’d highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to get out of Lisbon for the day.

Miguel was a terrific tour guide who went above and beyond. He was super knowledgeable about the history and context of each location and he went out of his way to book our tickets and lunch for us I'm advance. He was also very gracious and flexible with our million questions and when our group wanted more time in each location. Thank you!!

Wonderful day. Experienced friendly considerate band knowledgeable. The car was great. His local knowledge meant he saved us a lot if waiting time. We saw sites that would not be seen on other tours. Thank you.

We had a fabulous day tour to Sintra with Miguel, a self-taught virtuoso historian who could not be stumped. His knowledge and thirst for knowledge is palpable and made us want to pick up a book about some of the fascinating stories he told. Miguel narrated through Belem on the journey out of the city, past Cascais, stopping in Estoril, lunching at a beach hotel with the largest salt water pool in the world (or Europe), playing in the surf, exploring and shopping in Sintra village and of course, the unveiling of the hidden Sintra itself, discovered after winding our way up the hill in a fragment of the second largest garden in the world. Fabulous!!! Miguel will reveal well known and little known secrets, as he has eager mind to discover the history not only of this region, Portugal, but as it extends to Morocco, Brazil and the many countries connected to Portugual’s illustrious past.

Pedro and his team are fabulous! When our tour had to be changed, he was very prompt to communicate with me to make our new arrangements. And everything worked out perfectly! Pedro made sure our time was spent experiencing things we were interested in. He was very flexible and creative to make our day so special. Pedro is a great person and tour guide. It is evident how much he loves his home country and loves to share the history as well as contemporary topics with visitors. He makes you feel right at home and welcomed! Touring Sintra, Monserrate, Pena Palace, and a winery was a lovely way to spend our last day in Portugal and we feel like we made a new friend, too! We highly recommend "I Go Portugal" for any tour experience (We also booked another tour with Pedro's team, and it was also fabulous!) Thank you Pedro for making a memorable experience for us.
